Fashion Dior is an interactive, multimedia site featuring a dynamic Flash introduction and a virtual tour of the Dior collections by season including 360 degree animated runway views with sound midi clips. Challenge :
Dior.com had a somewhat simple objective, to create an interactive website showcasing a legacy of innovation within the fashion world by presenting a virtual tour of the Dior house of fashion. The challenge would be to have both the technology and the design reflect the style and grandeur of Christian Dior. Solution :
The resultant Fashion Dior site exceeded everyone's expectations and demonstrates Morphoses's judicious and appropriate use of interactive media. The Flash introduction is one of our most successful. Both dramatic and tasteful, it appeals to the Site's up-scale audience. Once in the site, navigation is handled via interactive collection plans creating an extremely intuitive interface. Clicking on any boutique in the virtual house brings the viewer to a page highlighting one or more detail design from that room. The on-line 'virtual tour' of the Fashion Line is further enhanced with 360-degree views of most designs created using Quick-Time. This elegant solution, marrying both form and function, became a finalist in the 2001 MIMC awards. Let us realize it. |
